A well known cave in Tabuelan is Himaroto Cave,so called because it is shaped like a “baroto” or boat. The cave is inhabited by bats and said to be 300 metre deep.Foreigners as well as Local  have gone to this cave as it is quite an interesting destination and its is also rich in phospate  and guano fertilizer.

BONGON CAVE

TANGUB CAVE

This cave, found in barangay Poblacion, is very difficult to enter because accordingly, it shakes whenever someone stepped into it. Scary though, but the excitement of seeing exotic animals inside the cave is quite overwhelming. There are wild snakes, numbers of species of bats and “kwahaw”, a kind of bird that sounds when El NiƱo is approaching.

HILLS AND MOUNTAINS

To reminisce the once disastrous past of Tabuelan, a trip to Otoy Hills and Gumbang Hills are encouraged. The former is the place where Justo Arendain was skinned to death by a Japanese soldier while the latter is the site where almost 300 people died during the attacks of the Americans against the Japanese. Barangay Bongon is a mountain barangay where valleys and mountains are found.
